How They've Grown...

It has been a year since I planted my Confederate Jasmine. My dream is to have my porch columns be completely covered in the fragrant beauties. Last year they were barely scraping the base of the columns...

But after 365 days of water and sun they have met in the middle and are going strong!

I hope Erik and I are in this house long enough to see them mature like these that I saw on a trip to Serenbe- a beautiful neighborhood in South GA.

Have anything good growing at home?

  1. Try greek cuisine. Full of dishes with only vegetables. And olive oil of course.
Some examples for you to explore:
    - Thick sliced vegetables in the oven with olive oil, oregano, salt, pepper (zucchini, eggplants, peppers, onions, garlic, tomatoes, carrots, artichokes, mushrooms) Serve w feta and fresh bread
    - Green beens with carrots, potatoes, zucchini and tomato sauce in the caserole until done
    - Artichokes with peas, carrots, some dill in the caserole until done. Then I make a sauce with lemon juice, some flour and the food's liquids and add it. Really nice food
    - Stuffed vegetables (tomatoes, peppers, eggplants) with rice, herbs, tomato sauce and baked in the oven
All of the above are always on our table and we love them.

I would love to hear what you have to say, but comments may be monitored for those few who are 'Debbie-Downers'. This is a creative outlet, I'm no expert, I just like to show others what I'm doing 'round the house. Like it or leave it.
